I hope you enjoy my site :) I built it to let folks have a smile, which I hope it has brought to you. It's frequently updated or just plain messed around with *smacks HTML gremlins* ;) So check the "New" to keep up to date with what I have added.

It was the work of the great artists like Clyde Caldwell, Brom, Larry Elmore, Boris Vallejo and others that inspired me. After seeing some of the amazing artwork on www.digitalblasphemy.com I decided to try digital art...and the results can be seen in my Art of a Dreamer Section.
Some of my favourite authors are:

Harry Turtledove - The Legion of Videsseos cycle is awesome as I love Roman history too.

R. A. Salvatore - Drizzt cycle of course, though I preffer his Underdark adventures and Bruenor...being Scots I think dwarves are, well...cool!

Barry Sadler - the "Casca" stories, I love history and Roman history in particular, that and the pathos of the story of a man cursed to live eternally is inspiring and chilling.

J. R. R. Tolkien - Yes, you gotta love Lord of the Rings!

Alan Dean Foster - his humour and plot twists are great

David Gemmell - damn shame him dying, his tales are so full of human beings with moral conviction, a rare thing today

Terry Pratchett - who I've met, woot! he likes computer games too, he rocks ;)

Lawrence Watt-Evans - love his "Seven Altars of Dus" series

Simon R. Green - Down amongst the Dead men is one of the best fantasy-horrors, IMHO, and his "Hawk and Fischer" series are great.
The poems, stories, original art and compositions here are my own work though, and I'd expect you to respect my copyright, but as long as you ask me first, you can use my art images and stories in your site if you wish.
I've been a Dungeons & Dragons player for 20 odd years, mostly as the Dungeon Master, yes I am a nerd! An UBER nerd in fact, haha! ;) I love writing stories of high adventure, swashbuckling mayhem and horror. My favoured D&D settings are Spelljammer, Dark Sun, Forgotten Realms (prefferably the OLD Realms before everything got explained and map to hell, sigh, mystery is vital to fantasy), Undermountain, Ravenloft.
Science and history are two of my other passions, I'd rather watch Sky At Night than Eastenders!! *shivers at the thought!* ;). Much as I love science, I have a strong belief in the paranormal, after having experienced a fair few odd things in my time science cannot explain, as far as I'm concerned (and no, I'm not a nut who thinks "Reptiloids really rule the world!" ;)
I became a "netizen" due to interest in a D&D computer game, where I met some great friends *bonks Fizz, Bear, Beltane and Easy Bake!* :)
There I started learning about HTML and digitial art after being introduced to their delights by friends. Alas I have a rather serious and bloody unpleasant illness , and going to college to improve my art skills (and maybe get a life and hot babe (lol!)), backfired and made me worse, sigh. Spent four years in the most horrible pain, sickness, distress and mental anguish. Currently, thanks to a good doctor (unlike some other twits), I'm somewhat recovered, thus feverishly working away at me art while I can, making up for lost time.
At the present time, I'm a moderator for the Materials and Terrains section at Cornucopia3D, a Vue 3d art website. Tomorrow: the world!! ;)
"MAY THY AXE SHINE, AND LUCK ALWAYS BE THINE!"
As the dwarves of other realms would say, in parting :)

Me, Steve, hairy haggis basher!
